Bed & Breakfast | Guest Accommodation in Shipston-on-Stour
Shipston-on-Stour is 13 miles south east Stratford and until 1931 was part of Worcestershire. In the 8th century, it became known as ‘Sheep-wash-Town’ because the river was used for washing sheep. There are a number of Georgian houses and old inns, and the church, rebuilt in 1855, retains a 15th century tower. Warwickshire is one of the three main counties of the Cotswolds, and Shipston is the main town of this part of the North Cotswolds.

Situated in fields on the northern edge of the Cotswolds, Blackwell Grange is a 17th century farm house, withlow beamed ceilings, stone flagged floors and deep set windows. It is a working farm with a flock of pedigree sheep, and the free range Wyandotte bantams which provide eggs for our real English breakfast. The local area is one of outstanding natural beauty, dotted with golden-stoned Cotswold villages and criss-crossed with marvellous walks.
